Veri-Scribe Recorder
The Veri-Scribe recorder provides tools to record from 1 to 4 channels on a notebook PC, with a variety of compression (recording) rates to conserve storage. Tools are included for active feedback, monitoring, and testing ensure the integrity of the recording.
The Veri-Scribe recorder (Figure 1) provides the interface to configure, start and stop recording of audio from the channel inputs. The recorder is activated with a single mouse click, or a single hot key stroke combination. There is a visual and audio indication of channel status. The module permits testing of the channels prior to start of the recording session, and live monitoring of the channels while recording.

Veri-Scribe Annotator
The Veri-Scribe Annotator is integral to both the Recorder and Player to create time-stamped notes, and indexes for quick and easy retrieval during playback. External files can also be attached to the recording. In addition, the Annotator assigns hot keys for quick and easy management of roles, participants, and frequently used phrases.
The Veri-Scribe Annotator (Figure 2) allows authorized users to easily create or modify annotations (indexes) to the audio recording. The information and annotations can be entered before, during, or after the recording session. Hot keys and drop-down lists make it very easy to enter the information quickly and accurately. The Annotator is linked with the Player module to allow quick and easy playback, selected from the audio or the annotations, to include jumping between indexes and looped playback.

Player Module
The Veri-Scribe Player provides powerful tools for the transcriber or other listener to easily locate important areas of the recording, controlling playback with screen and/or foot pedal controls.
The Veri-Scribe Player (Figure 3) module allows users to play back any combination or all of the channels recorded. The Player plays back the selected recordings in chronological order. The user interface provides a visual indication of the channels being played back along with a time index window.
The playback controls are used to review the recordings. Playback controls are similar to those found on a conventional tape recorder and include Play, Pause, Stop, Restart from Beginning, Fast Forward, Fast Reverse, Jump to Next Index, and Jump to Previous Index. Each channel can be muted individually. Volume control is also provided for each channel. The Player is closely linked with the Annotator as described above.
The Player allows users to make copies of recordings for email or on a CD, and also to convert audio recordings to industry standard formats on a CD.
In addition, a "Public" version of the Veri-Scribe Player will be made available for download and public use. The Veri-Scribe Public Player has similar functionality to the standard player, but without the ability to make or change annotations.

Veri-Scribe is a powerful, scalable, and reliable recording solution for legal, law enforcement, business, and Government venues. Built upon the proven Audiolog™ technology, Veri-Scribe will provide years of valuable service in your application.
